Today at Vinings Lake we had our third "Be the Church" Sunday. This is one of the coolest things we do at our church in my opinion. We cancel the church services and go out into the community to simply practice what we talk about and be the church to those outside our walls. We had many service projects set up around the area including schools that needed landscaping for the new school year, houses that needed work, some visited a nursing home, and others handed out gas cards around town. I stayed back and hung out with our KidMo kids, but have heard lots of amazing stories already of what God did through this day.
(By the way, KidMo is going to two services on August 10th and I'm super excited. I know God is going to bring us many new K-5th grade kids!
I love our church and the people God has brought our way! Please come visit us sometime!

Nephew Love
I must make a disclaimer to this video. This is Brian & my nephew Carson. He is a lovely child indeed and actually very much likes Brian & I (I think), but just about every time Brian & I tried to go near him, he would scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" You'd think he were scared of us or something. Kara, I do apologize for posting this on my blog, but it was just too good not to share!! Here it is:

Why I love Florida
Brian & I got to spend an amazing week in Florida hanging out with his family and I have to admit that it is very tempting to want to live there one day. No worries though, we're planning on being in Atlanta forever. Here are just a few of the many reasons why I love Florida:
1. Family. Brian has a great family and we always enjoy spending lots of time with each of them. We always stay with his grandparents and play lots of card games and eat like pigs. Here's just a few pictures of them. We love you all and miss you!
2. The Beach! I absolutely love the beach and laying out by the pool and I can never get enough of it while in Florida! It's the perfect place to people watch too!
3. Fireworks by the water...with a dolphin show. Happy belated 4th of July!
4. Boat Rides with my hot husband... and with more dolphins! No matter how many times I see a dolphin, I'm still impressed and flip out.
5. Turtles..yup, I said turtles. Only in Florida do you find a turtle on your front step. He was a little scary though.
6. FREE HAIRCUTS!!! Brian's grandmother although not a licensed stylist is a professional hair cutter. She cuts Brian's hair everytime we are down in Florida and I am ever so thankful for her skills...it has saved Brian thousands of dollars over the years!
7. Amazing Rainbows after an afternoon shower! This seriously was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen. I took 5 million pictures of it..not sure why..it was just so amazing..
8. Nephews that love me......and I love you too Colby & Carson and we can't wait to meet your brother or sister?
Carson & Me chillin on the swing. He looks so happy to be sitting next to me!
This is Colby's "show me your teeth" smile. Love that kid!!
9. Hanging out with old friends and having the opportunity for Brian to speak at his old church South Biscayne. Thank you for showing us Sarasota Pastor John!
Okay, so at a risk for making this the longest blog post EVER, I must end the list...I think you all get the point anyway. We love spending time in Florida and always have a great time making more memories.
